Learn how to book planned absences for your child in the AcornCloud Parent Portal — easily record holidays, family trips, or other days your child won’t be attending.
Open Your Child’s ProfileLog in to your Parent Portal.
Tap your child’s name from the Overview screen to open their profile.
Go to the Schedule TabTap the Schedule tab at the top of the screen.
Then tap Apply for Planned Absence.
Add Dates and ReasonEnter the start and end dates for your child’s absence.
The scheduled bookings for that period will appear below.
Add a reason for the absence (e.g. holiday, family event, illness).
Apply for the AbsenceOnce all details are added, tap Apply for Planned Absence.
The planned absences will now appear in your child’s Schedule.
Best Practice TipsAlways submit planned absences as early as possible — it helps your service plan ahead.
Include a brief, clear reason for each absence.
You can review all planned absences directly from your child’s Schedule tab.
